This is a set of strings for the Contrabass. We have bundled together the most popular kinds of strings and offer them in a standard set for ordering convenience.
The set consists of:
- g-1 - Lyon gut
- d-2 - Pistoy gut
- A-3 - Silver-plate wire wound onto gut core
- E-4 - Silver-plate wire wound onto gut core
The set comes with the natural, hand-rubbed finish, or if you wish, the strings can be varnished for an additional charge.
The set comes with plain ends, but for the g-1 and d-2 leather washers can be added for an additional charge. Plain gut strings are available with a natural or varnish finish. Natural strings are hand-rubbed with a light oil. Varnished strings have three coats of finish before being hand polished with the oil. There is an additional charge for varnished strings.
Wound strings for the contrabass are warrantied for a period of six months from the date of shipping.

These strings sing
