Three layer rose based on the rosette in the guitar made by Antonio Stradivari, now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, England.
The original rose that Stradivari made has wooden layers, but we are making this rose is available with either wooden, parchment or paper layers, so you can customize the layers as you wish.
The wood layers give more strength to the rose and eliminate the tendency of the parchment to swell with humidity and protrude from the sound hole.
Please note: because of the variability of wood color, the color of the wood layers on the rose that you receive may be a different shade than the wood pictured.
The paper we use is a high quality, acid free art paper that offers strength with little reaction to humidity.
The standard diameter is 3", (7.62cm), but you can specify a custom diameter and we will scale the rose to your specifications.
The layers are referred to as follows:
- Layer 1 is the bottom layer
- Layer 2 is the middle layer
- Layer 3 is the top layer

Can't get anymore precise than this!
The laser cut rose is precise and highly intricate, you can't get anymore precise than this. It comes with helpful guide holes which you can tie strings to during finally assembly to the soundhole. I wish I waited for the rose to arrive so I could have matched the color/material to my bridge and mustache but still 5 stars to this beautiful product.
