Due to the end-of-year holidays, the Gamut workshop will be in operation limited hours through the end of the year.

Please Note: selected shipping has no bearing on how long your order will take in the string workshop. Gamut strings are hand-made to order — shipping timelines are calculated from when your order leaves the workshop, not when the order was placed. We will send a sales receipt with tracking # when your order leaves the shop.

The Gamut Workshop is pleased to announce the availability of new instruments for sale

Hand-made Gamut instruments include guitars, violins, vihuelas, and Renaissance and Baroque lutes.

In addition, Dan is preparing for sale some Legacy Workshop instruments that he has made throughout his career. Dan Larson has been making instruments for over 50 years, collecting various items around the workshop during that time. He created some of these instruments as experiments, to test new techniques or molds, and occasionally simply for fancy. Some of them were played by Dan and Bobbye back in their musical days. Some were made and never offered for sale because something shiny caused a distraction. A couple of them were left with Dan for repair 30 years ago and abandoned. Each instrument has a story, and now it's time for them to be polished up and sold, so they may be played by someone who needs them and can take care of them.

All Gamut instruments include a string prescription, a set of synthetic strings, one year warranty, and FedEx Ground shipping within the 48 contiguous United States with insurance and packing. See our Terms of Sale for complete warranty, payment, and shipping details.
