String Tension Tables
TL:DR: Most Gamut Academie strings are offered in gauges Light, Light+, Medium, Medium+, Heavy, and Heavy+. We include string diameters on every string page, and you can use our String Calculators to find the correct strings for your instrument.
The string tables below list tensions for each string in each of the six gauges that are available for Academie strings.
If your string length is a little longer, the strings would exert a little more tension for a given gauge. If your string length is shorter, the strings would have a little less tension for a given gauge.
